Drum washing barrels are used to wash very dirty materials.
The material is fed into the machine in the direction against the water to facilitate the removal of impurities. The material is fed into the first part of the cylinder for the first washing.
The inclined and adjustable blades which are inside the cylinder, slow down the feed when it is very dirty whereas they help the feed when the material is cleaner. The buckets in perforated sheet iron lead the material to the discharge channel set on the machine.
A wear resistant and thick steel band is fixed near to the driving wheels to avoid cylinder breakout.
